Mic not working : RetroArch

Microphone in DeSmuME : RetroArch

I’m stuck at a giant Bowser fight in Bowser’s Inside Story since it relies on the flame attack, I’ve been able to manage the broken microphone sample by settling for OKs instead of Excellents, but for the Fawful Express fight, it is impossible to beat without getting better fire attacks, I cannot seem to find the option in the DeSmuME 2015 core
